So Wrong, It’s Right

The idea of ‘cult’ success makes me suspicious. I’ve always felt that bad is bad and when I say bad I don’t mean ‘Bad‘, I mean ‘Bad‘! You can keep your Ed Woods and your William Hungs. I don’t subscribe to the school of “so bad, it’s good”. It’s too close to cruelty for my tastes. I’m all for people taking the road less traveled. I commend those that refuse to compromise their vision of the world, but I reject the celebration of failure and the public humiliation it seeks to legitimize.

Caught in a Landslide

Mungous, Nushta and the DoosI saw The Matrix in Montreal back in 1999. I liked it. Last week, I showed it to my kids for the first time. They liked it too. We had a long discussion about reality and fantasy.

As usual, Joey Pants steals the movie. He betrays his friends for some fillet. “I know this steak doesn’t exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss.”

Content is Elvis

It’s simple pop-culture maths, daddio. We know that “Content is King” and we know that “Elvis is King“, ergo Content is Elvis.

But the question remains, “What is ‘Content is Elvis’”?

Content is Elvis aims to be occasional blog emanating from deep within Metacafe Towers. I am the content keeper, master of my domain and fount of all wisdom. I will bring you snatched snippets of snide alongside the meatiest media morsels. I will feed your endless hunger for the trivial because I am, like you, one who consumes. Books, Music, Theatre, TV, Film and Viral Video. We consume it all and it consumes us.
